This requirement for employees to complete this training is consistent with the legislative obligations of employees as prescribed in WHS legislation. The knowledge and skills gained through the completion of this competency may be applied by all employees across all industries.

The AWCC Heights Rescue Program is a two-day course that provides the student participant with the tactile and decision making skills to perform a rescue at height. Unfortunately fall incidents happen far to often and are a major risk factor associated with Working Safely at Heights

This course aims to give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and competently work safely at heights. These skills are applied through written, discussion, questioning, role-plays and practical application for the industry speci?c unit of competency RIIWHS204E Work Safely

Here at Western Training, we cover skills pertaining to planning and preparing for operations, conducting machine pre-operational checks, driving and operating the Forklift, operational techniques, carrying out machine operator maintenance, Loading and unloading and housekeeping requirements.

This ‘hands-on’ session will examine lifting techniques, hoist operation, toileting /changing issues and manual handling problem-solving. All techniques are based on methods which involve behavioural change to re-educate our bodies to use the big muscles
