Saxophone Lesson Course is Offered by Ware Academy of Music
Young students generally begin Saxophone lessons at eight or nine years old. Students must be physically able to support the clarinet with the aid of a neck strap, have appropriate arm length to cover finger holes and have their adult teeth. Meet with the teacher to determine whether a young student is ready to begin.
Saxophone Practice Time:
Beginners may begin with 20 minutes of saxophone practice per day, building up time as endurance increases. Thirty minutes will enable students to maintain a level, however real progress requires 45-60 minutes of per day.
For optimal results, I strongly recommend parents attend the first saxophone lessons, to monitor and support progress through the initial phase.
Welcome to Ware Academy of Music. I’m Lynn Ware, owner teacher of theory and classical guitar. Peter and I have been preparing students for theory and instrumental examinations for over 30 years.
Peter received his M.M. degree in composition from Yale University, under Toru Takemitsu and Kryztof Penderecki. I completed my M.M. degree in guitar performance at Kent State University. We are both National Gold Medal Teachers.
