This class focuses on body isolations, syncopated rhythms along with high level movements.
This class is a form of dance grounded in Jazz dance terminology and technique with an emphasis on musicality, performance, athleticism, and lots of fun! Using popular music we explore rhythm, style, and performance elements found in Musical Theatre Dance and Jazz Dance Traditions.
Jazz dance classes are offered by Miami Dance and Music Academy for all ages and skill level. Our instructors are highly qualified and many have extensive performance experience. Most importantly, our instructors strive to relate their teaching to each individual student’s learning style.
Jazz dance is very broad style that may refer to vernacular jazz, Broadway jazz, or studio jazz dance. All genres build on the African American vernacular style of dancing that emerged with jazz music
