In this class you will be making our classic white sourdough and seeded sourdough, as well as sourdough pizza for lunch. Designed to show how the techniques and processes used in a professional bakery can be applied at home, you will get hands-on experience mixing, shaping, scoring and baking.
In this class you will be making our classic white sourdough and seeded sourdough, as well as sourdough pizza for lunch. Designed to show how the techniques and processes used in a professional bakery can be applied at home, you will get hands-on experience mixing, shaping, scoring and baking.
As well as getting to take home all the bread you bake during the day, you will also get to take home your very own starter and, we hope, the knowledge and experience to be able to start making your very own sourdough at home.
This class is suitable for all abilities – from beginners to those with plenty of home baking experience!
This class is led by two members of our lovely baking team. We will show you how to cultivate and use wild yeast to make sourdough bread, how to handle and shape wet doughs, judge the proof of shaped dough and how to bake a beautiful loaf of bread.
