Expand on your basic bread baking skills. Learning about cultures and baking and shaping bread without yeast! The little bit of Dutch we add makes all the difference for food that is deeply satisfying to body and soul.
In this class, you will learn how to make a traditional quick bread called bannock, topped with rose hip butter, and served with Saskatoon berries and wild mint.
Learn to master the techniques behind making bread at home
This course provides the tools, theory and practical experience to prepare yeast and chemically leavened baked goods. Topics include ingredient function, safe handling, dough mixing and development, and production.
