During this course, you will learn the ABC's of Spanish pronunciation, the basic Grammar of the language and develop comprehension and "survival" speaking skills for traveling.Oral proficiency and interaction in Spanish with your instructor will be stressed for your acquisition of practical vocabulary and for listening and answering questions.

The course material consists of humorous stories, skits and dialogue exercises dealing with everyday situations. At the end of this course, you will be able to express basic ideas in Spanish and be ready to take the Intermediate course where you will practice your conversational skills, learn more vocabulary and advanced Grammar.

  • Juan Lopezdabdoub, the owner and instructor of iSpeakSpanish in Kitchener and Waterloo, is an Ontario certified teacher with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba. Juan has taught Spanish, Visual Arts and Digital Media in Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Kitchener to children in the School system and to adults in his private school. In September 2000, Juan started El Estudio, Spanish Language Academy in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with the purpose of securing a working position for himself with a flexible schedule that would allow him to pursue his career as a visual artist. Juan taught Spanish and shared his passion for the language with hundred of students in El Estudio for 12 years until he closed the academy to move to Edmonton and subsequently to Kitchener with his family in 2012. When you take classes with Juan, you are not only learning Spanish in a relaxing and fun atmosphere, but you are also making your contribution to the artistic and cultural engine of our city.
