Learn Spanish and start exploring the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries! This program offers everything needed to speak Spanish fluently for professional or personal purposes whether you need to introduce yourself, order a meal or buy clothes and souvenirs. You will also be exposed to accents and expressions from different parts of the Spanish-speaking world.

The conversation circles are offered at the intermediate and advanced levels for learners who want to continue practising their Spanish. Courses are reserved for learners aged 16 and up.
Schedule
Fall, Winter and Spring: One 3-hour class per week, evenings or Saturday mornings. Most courses run for 11 weeks (some run for 10 weeks with 3.25 hours/class). Courses are 32.5 to 33 hours in total. Conversation circles are 10 weeks long. The circle runs for 2 hours per week, for a total of 20 hours.
Course Content
Acquire essential language skills through a variety of interactive activities using Canadian course material developed by USB’s Continuing Education Division. Designed for adult learners, the curriculum covers a wide range of core competencies with specific learning objectives.
Conversation Circles
The conversation circles Círculo de conversación intermedio and avanzado are weekly opportunitys for intermediate and advanced-level students to practise speaking Spanish in an informal setting where they may also explore the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. Students can expect to participate in discussions, role-plays and presentations.

The Spanish International Language Elementary provides International language and cultural instruction for elementary students at St. Michael Catholic School.
Our regular program for adults and seniors is designed according to globally recognized objectives and levels (CEFR) Each level - Basic, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, is made up of modules lasting seven weeks each.
You learn the foundations of the language by focusing on all four skills: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. By the end of the program, you should have a solid base of oral and written skills for communicating in Spanish.
