This class has a minimum of two teachers (more if required) to ensure each student receives the necessary attention to ensure their experience is fulfilling. The combination of dance movement with music encourages independence and build confidence in their achievements.
SDA’s Performing Arts Qualifications, Affiliations and Registrations include Acrobatic Dance Association, Australasian Dance Australia, Australian Guild of Music Education, Australian Teachers of Dancing, British Ballet Organisation, Glenn Wood Tap and State Dance Association, we are also a member of Audance NSW and World Dance Alliance Asia Pacific.
SDA holds all the necessary insurances for students and teachers through Danceusrance. SDA’s success is measured by the success of its students and teachers.
Jazz will be studied in the Recreational Performance Dance Class on Thursday nights at the Summer Hill Location.Â

Jazz uses the latest dance moves to latest music. A Jazz routine incorporates stylized dance movements and combinations, formation changes, group work, leaps and turns.
Learn the foundations of jazz technique including kicks, turns and jumps, with broadway & commercial jazz choreography.
Today, jazz dance continues to evolve and blend with other dance styles — for example, street jazz and theatre dance.This emerging style of technical jazz became popular in the movement of Jack Cole, Jerome Robbins, Gwen Verdon, and Bob Fosse.
