This course is designed for students who are either about to attend college or university or leave their halls of residence to fend for themselves.
Getting Ready for University
Students will learn to cook delicious, nutritious food on a university budget, as well as how to choose healthy ingredients and make the most of leftovers. As well as cooking their own lunches, students will have prepared dishes to take away at the end of each day.
After a day of learning, students have access to the outdoor heated swimming pool and croquet lawn, as well as the beautiful countryside that surrounds Manor Farm Cookery School - a fun way to spend time with friends.
By arrangement, this can also be a residential course or undertaken as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Scheme
Manor Farm Cookery School launched in 2016 and is a well-equipped facility running cookery courses, workshops and cookery clubs for people of all ages and abilities.
At the end of a full day of cooking, everyone’s efforts will be rewarded with a glass of wine and a sit-down meal that has been cooked during the day, where hints and tips can be shared with the group while enjoying the food that you have prepared.
These evening cooking classes are a great way to brush up your skills in the kitchen. They take place one night a week, for five weeks. We hold both Beginner’s and Intermediate courses.
