Class consists of basic tap steps, traveling steps and introduction to rhythm. Students require BEIGE MARY JANES or lower heeled Capezio Caramel or Tan Bloch shoes and proper dancewear. Class attends two competitions.
DurationStudents aged 6-8 years will receive a 45 min. class once a week. Dancers aged 6-7 MUST have completed one year of combo Tap/Ballet before taking this class, so please register for COMBO class if you have not yet taken a Tap or Combo class.

Classes are available under the direction of Kara Chernishenko (Member Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) ~Stage Tap & Jazz. With exam classes offered in Tap, Jazz & Ballet (Shayla Brown Member CDTA – Ballet Div.)

Our students will learn traditional tap dances along with other classic steps. Tap develops rhythm with coordination and improvisational skills.
