Tap has had many different stages in its evolution; from its roots in African American history and into the silver screen years with Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers and Gene Kelly, to the Tap Dogs and Boot Men of today.
Tap dance is a type of dance characterised by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion.
We teach the Original NZAMD Tap syllabus as well as the American NZAMD Tap Syllabus. With an emphasis on a fun, friendly environment students can focus on enjoying dance in a supportive environment.
