Tap dance is a form of dance characterized by using the sound of one's tap shoes hitting the floor as a percussive instrument. As such, it is also commonly considered to be a form of music. Two major variations on tap dance exist: rhythm (Jazz) tap and Broadway tap.
Class consists of Tap & Ballet. Students require black tap shoes -leather soled-Mary Janes & pink leather ballet slippers. Year end routine is Tap.
This class is a high energy class in which feet become musical instruments. Tapping rhythms are set to all different eras of music from the classic to the trendy drum beats of today’s tap style.
