Tap Dance is a percussive style that originated in the United States in the 1700’s. Using shoes with metal plates to create sound, students develop coordination, precision, rhythmic skills, and musicality.

In the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District, the Mark Morris Dance Center, founded in 2001, is the hub of dance and music education in Brooklyn. The nine-studio building provides affordable classes in multiple genres for people of all ages, levels, with and without disabilities, accompanied by live music.

Tap Dance Classes are offered by iDance Studio for all ages and skill level. Our intent at iDance Studio is to ensure that all our students have a wonderful experience in our classes as well as the opportunity to find joy in the art of dance.
