Level 2 of the Woodwork Foundation Course
The Intermediate Course consists of 1 project – the making of a trinket box with lid - which aims to teach students :
Finikiti Woodworks started a business in 2010 making small cottage type furnishings from South African pine and reclaimed Saligna and Oregon. Handyman services – repairs & maintenance – were provided to customers in Boksburg, Benoni, Brakpan and Kempton Park.
In 2012 the business relocated to premises in Benoni as a franchise license was purchased from Eureka Woodworks Inc. (of Dallas, Texas, USA) to manufacture their ‘Adirondack’ range of patio & garden furniture.
Learnerships are available to all young, unemployed and school leavers as well as to employees sponsored by companies supporting their employees to further their qualifications.
Our dedication to quality service delivery and our national footprint has resulted in the Fibre Processing and Manufacturing Sector Education and Training Authority (FP & M SETA) recognizing Furntech as the Institute of Sectoral and Occupational Excellence for the industry.
Carpentry course is offered by Hasmud Training Insitute for all skill level. Hasmud Training Institute's approach to its business dealings is characterized by integrity and professionalism.
Carpentry course is offered by Border-kei Training. In line with our Government's policy of taking training to the people, Border-Kei Training Trust provides on-site training to the rural communities of the Eastern Cape.
