The Lesson

The first visit is the lesson. The session is conducted one-on-one with the artist. The client brings in her personal make-up kit to be assessed and discussed. The goal is to teach the client with what she owns.

If the artist feels there are products which would complement her collection, they are suggested and practiced with during the session (product purchases are not included in the lesson price).

We also cover skincare concerns, educate her to be a better shopper, discuss wardrobe colours and good choices for colour cosmetics when we see there are issues.

Brows are shaped as necessary. The artist applies to one half of the client’s face, the client applies to the other half. Working through to her most-done face, the artist teaches and corrects application technique throughout the lesson.

To wrap up, the artist and client recap the lesson creating an illustrated cheat-sheet the client can keep for reference. We create a prioritized list to plan future investments she’ll make to her kit.
