Then why not come along to a 1-day pattern-drafting workshop, where you will learn how to make patterns in your measurements the quick and easy way.

Pattern Drafting has never been easier to do; and you don’t need any previous experience design experience to do this workshop, Just basic machine sewing skills.
This is a great way to learn the tricks of the trade, giving you the confidence to sew for yourself and even others.
Our Patchwork store has a wide variety of fabric styles in 100% cotton, contemporary, reproduction, batiks and a room full of blenders. We have a growing range of linen and linen/cotton.
Mix as well as a vast choice of 100% wool felt and woven felted wool. Favourites include Kaffe Fasset, Tula Pink and Jen Kingwell with the co-ordinating books, patterns and templates.
Not confident about your machine? Then come and learn how to use it. Eg: altering tensions; using different stitches and feet. Gain the confidence you will need to make a garment. BYO sewing machine with foot control and power cord to class, and all materials.
These classes, instructed by Helena Kinnunen, are an introduction to upholstery sewing during which time students will make or recover their own cushions. It is suitable for beginner to intermediate skill level.
We offer patchwork one on one lessons from our home studio. All you need to do is bring your fabric, and we supply the rest.
You are welcome to bring in your cut garments ready to sew. If you need help reading a pattern & cutting it out we can cover that too. Bring in your own domestic sewing machine to the class and start learning & improving now!
This is a fun quilt to make if you enjoy playing with color. Each leaf can be as individual as you want to create it. Again, this would be a good candidate for those who have a stash that needs using. Some experience necessary.
