This course is aimed at individuals who currently have a training and/or development function as part of their overall role within the organisation. The course will help people to understand what being a trainer entails and will cover key principles and skills needed in providing training to adults within a work context. The course will draw upon good practice will guide participants in developing an inclusive, anti-discriminatory style of training
Day 1 of the course sets the scene and gives some time for delegates to prepare for their 10 minute presentation on Day 2. Delegates will be expected to spend some of their own time in the evening developing their course programme and presentation for Day 2.
Day 2: Each delegate will have 10 minutes to make their presentation. They will be asked to carry out a 10 minute reflection on what went well and what they would do differently going forward. At the same time, the remainder of the group will identify the presentation strengths and provide a 'stretch' for the delegate - something that they can work on to enhance their presentation skills even further. This is designed to provide practical opportunities to give and receive feedback and to practice questioning skills. This is a very busy day and delegates are asked to be prompt in arrival and in returning from breaks.
Due to the intensely practical nature of this course maximum course size is 10

Open Course Schedule
We currently run over 250 contemporary and engaging open training courses a year, delivered by industry specialist trainers from our venue in Central London. Our open courses are the most cost-effective way for individuals and groups of less than 8 to access our face-to-face training.
eLearning
Central eLearning offers 10 comprehensive on-line learning modules, designed to provide cost effective induction or refresher training for front line workers. Our eLearning courses are relevant to many different sectors where front line workers are responsible for their own and other people’s welfare and are designed by industry specialist trainers, who are experienced and qualified subject matter experts.
Our eLearning courses contain contemporary and essential learning, case studies, reflective practice exercises, quizzes and an end of course assessment, all of which are interactive and engaging.
Our courses have been designed in collaboration with a number of organisations including; St Mungo’s, Richmond Fellowship, London Borough of Islington, London Borough of Hackney and Evolve Housing and Support.
