Bring in an exposed roll of black and white film and we'll walk you through the process showing you step-by-step how to develop. Continue your journey in analog photography by following up with our B&W Darkroom Printing Workshop and make a print directly from your negatives.
In the hands-on 4-Week Broadcast Journalism Workshop, students are trained in the fundamental principles, techniques, and craft of contemporary journalism through a combination of lecture, demonstration, in-class hands-on production, and project-based work.
We create audio/visual stories in groups and as individuals, we showcase our work and share our messages with other teens. We develop industry specific skills with access to equipment and get to know professional filmmakers and artists at the forefront of their medium.
Topics covered include tailoring pieces to specific columns, writing a perfect cover and pitch letter, contacting the right editors, and submitting the work, following up, and getting clips. Speakers include top Manhattan editors.
