Dance helps children mature physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. The physical benefits of dance are widely accepted, but the emotional, social and cognitive attributes have only recently begun to be appreciated.
DanceWorks Studios is located in the center of Palmerston North. Since 2011, we have inspired our students to excel while gaining a love and respect for our art form. Although we expect high standards, it can still be done in a kind and caring way so students enjoy class while achieving results.
Whatever your goal is in dance, whether for fun or with the endeavor to work professionally in the industry of dance, we have the talented teachers to get you there, providing you with professional, caring, creative, and qualified teachers.
Convenience for parents is a top priority of ours, we welcome you to use the common room and parent waiting areas. With all four studios under the same roof we can provide all our lessons in the same building meaning you don't have to cart children from one studio to the next for the different genres of dance.
Our youngest dance class available, which covers basic skills used in most dance styles.
A fun class that prepares our 2 to 5-year-olds for the more structured classes later on. With fun warm-ups, use of props such as ribbons, hula hoops and maracas, dress ups, basic steps, mimes and more! Our Pre-Schoolers have the opportunity to perform in our shows!
One of our fantastic new classes- for our parents and babes to groove away. These classes run on a Ten-Trip Ticket – so you only pay when you attend (We know what it’s like with little people!).Â
Our Pre School dance classes are our very first introduction class for students.
The preschool dance classes fully prepare students to move into formal syllabi after they turn 5.
