Learn to play Ukulele at Paper Moon Music!

Take private music lessons for all ages in San Diego from experienced, friendly, and professional instructors at Paper Moon Music.

Whether you are interested in a specific style or simply want to learn the basics, Paper Moon Music’s private music lessons in San Diego allow you to learn Guitar, Piano, Ukulele, Bass, Banjo, Violin, and Voice lessons at your own pace. Lessons are tailored to your musical interests and needs.

Play your favorite songs, learn to improvise, or learn to read music and understand music theory. You can learn to play styles like Rock, Jazz, Classical, Flamenco, Latin, Folk, Country, and more!

We teach students of all ages and levels and offer free bi-annual Recitals – demonstrate what you’ve been learning as you hone your skills as a performer with other students in a fun, low-pressure environment.

Currently teaching music lessons in person in our Point Loma studio as well as online lessons to students all over San Diego County and around the world.

Teacher's Experience
Nate Ware is a Tokyo-born multi-instrumentalist knowledgeable in a variety of musical styles. Nate has been a musical educator for over 15 years with a teaching history spanning all age groups and experience levels. Nate teaches guitar (electric and acoustic), bass, banjo, cavaquinho and ukulele. His stylistic strengths are in Rock, Samba/MPB, Classical/Flamenco, Funk, and Country/Americana/Folk. His approach to teaching is focused on the personal goals and growth of his clients, which are of course, allowed to change and expand. Sessions will focus on the most important things: applied music theory, technique, repertoire, and personal expression. We will develop our talents through studying what other great musicians have done, all while applying these skills to express ourselves and to connect with others through the art form of music.
