We work with each student to help them develop skill sets that are values and virtues in and outside of music. These include but are not limited to: discipline, goal setting, listening, critical thinking, communication, criticism, creativity, self-expression, collaboration, concentration, and problem-solving. The goal is to help students develop an informed knowledge of the violin and instill a true love of playing.
Learning to play the violin or viola is a lifelong study and requires tremendous patience. To grow on your instrument requires mastering thousands of little steps, one at a time.
Our strings instructors' friendly and warm demeanor with children, coupled with their outstanding musical talent aids their students in learning at a pace that is comfortable for them.
Blue Tree Music Education is a music school based in South Minneapolis in the Corcoran Neighborhood. We teach private music lessons, including piano, voice, guitar, bass, cello, viola & violin, as well as offer songwriting classes, early childhood music classes, summer camps, workshops and much more. We are also the home of the Blue Tree Songbirds, a neighborhood children's choir.
Violin lessons taught using a Traditional method refer to students learning to read music. Whereas the Suzuki Method students learn by rote or by ear. This is popular method of learning the violin particularly in younger children
Our violin lessons are open to all ages and levels, and for children ages five and up. We also specialize in violin lessons for adults. For almost ten years, we have helped thousands on their musical journey
