Overview :
One important aim for this age is to alleviate their fear of separation from their parents or significant family members. They are emotionally dependent and should not be forced to work without their parents help if they are not ready.
Once their confidence is established, it is easy to move to more complex activities. In the early stages of this programme, children are allowed to have this emotional support; however it is important to note that some activities are tailored to aid the process of separation, hand clapping rhymes and certain dances where the children are encouraged to work independently.
At this age the development of language skills is crucial and children should be exposedto all forms of language - poetic, rhythmic melodic, pitch, timbre and even nonsense language which appeals to their developing sense of humour.
Mission:
Our integrated learning approach emphasizes the process rather than the product.
With an increased level of confidence, these little ones are ready for a new phase of learning. Their ability to keep a regular beat and follow simple tunes widens the scope for interesting new musical challenges.
Through age-appropriate music, they will be exposed to fundmental skills related to music - such as sensitivity to pitch, volume, sound and basic musicality through rhythm and song exercises.
OMS understands that some families prefer to have their children’s music enrichment done in the school that they are attending.
This is the stage where the children start to understand how to break down various musical components and put them into context. The question is - HOW is this done?
