IDance Studio offers a wide variety of performance levels and styles. On one end of the spectrum, we offer classes meant for you to relax and enjoy. You will learn fun dances that will exercise the mind and body alike.
At the other extreme, we also offer classes for the aspiring professional. These classes require lots of hard work and dedication. They would push you to achieve your maximum potential.
Regardless of your goals, we are equipped to help you take them from fantasy to reality.We also provide a facility and an atmosphere to practice and perform your skills, acquire new skills.
And network with other similar or different artists and dance aficionados. There are regular social dances and seasonal showcases where our students, teachers, and affiliates show off their best and have a great time doing so.
Spot Dance. Swing. Swing dance has many variations and names. Swing, Jump Swing, Jive, Jitterbug, Boogie Woogie, Lindy Charleston, Shag…East Coast is the easiest of the swing dances to learn. It’s also one of the most commonly known dances in America.
New to Swing dancing? Been to a few drop-in lessons around town and looking for more? This is the class for you! It’s designed as a 3-month series (taken in no particular order), each month-long session focusing on a slightly different aspect of what makes this dance so great.
Swing is a group of related street dances that evolved from Lindy Hop. Swing dance partners consist of a leader and a follower. There are three main forms of Swing: Lindy Hop, West Coast Swing and East Coast Swing.
Learn the basic rhythms and movements of Lindy Hop, including 8 count and 6 count rhythms, swing out variations, and the history of this great dance. No dance experience required.
Socially, it is considered good etiquette (particularly on a crowded floor) to use a fixed slot, in order to allow dancing without incident.
