Our mission is to inspire a new generation of makers and creative businesses by building a workshop that’s brimming with opportunities. Here you can make anything from beginner’s kits to sculpture or furniture – and you can grow your creative business with affordable studio space, the support of industry expertise and a community of makers.
We offer courses, bookable workbenches and supported sessions, led by expert technicians, to help you get started, and our local creative programmes explore new ways to discover making. We are also on a mission to reduce our environmental impact and aim to lead the way in environmentally sustainable wood and metal craftworking.

Carpentry course is offered by Women’s Tec. We are proud to be the largest training provider for women in these skills in Northern Ireland, and we are even prouder to be at the core of our community of women.
This course is more physically demanding than carving a spoon, so would serve as a natural progression for those who have done some carving before. However keen first timers are always welcome!
Woods Craft course is offered by J G Graves Woodland Discovery Centre for all skill level. Our courses are suitable for all abilities and we offer advanced courses for those who want to take their skills a little further.
This occupation involves carrying out advanced skilled work, primarily using timber products, either on a construction site, or in a workshop, creating and installing building components.
We also offer bespoke furniture, woodworking and design courses for both groups and individuals. A bespoke course enables students to select their own content and duration.
