We are a London based creative space, providing classes in woodcarving, willow weaving and spoon carving. Woodworking course is offered by Belfast Met. Our learning environment, at centres around Belfast, is fun and adult friendly, and you can be confident that all our part-time course tutors have extensive knowledge and experience they’d love to share with you!
As an Apprentice Joiner, you could be working on site fitting windows, stairs, skirting boards or constructing partition walls, or you could be employed as a bench joiner making items of furniture such as staircases etc.
You will complete a minimum of 30 hours of on-the-job experience within the industry and have the opportunity to work on many live projects in the community.
Many people want to begin woodwork but need a bench. (How do I build a bench if I do not have a bench on which to build a bench…….) Over the past couple of years we have made a number of “modern benches” to our specific design.
An introduction to the skills, materials and tools of furniture making, this course is great for beginners or as a refresher.
