?All students of The Fashion Institute become part of our exclusive workplace training program and our Internship Coordinator and Careers Manager tailor each program to suit individual aspirations and career goals. This close collaboration ensures placements that are relevant to each student's unique interests and talents.
?The Fashion Institute has a reputation for consistently providing our internship partners with high calibre candidates and providing our student's tailored work placement opportunities.
?Our Careers Manager is available to provide support on writing cover letters, building resumes or preparing for interviews to help you succeed in the industry.
In addition, The Fashion Institute provides current and graduated students access to our internship and job opportunities database through our careers log-in page and extends invitations to our Industry Guest Speaker sessions and Networking Events.

Fashion weeks
All students have access to unlimited event experience and volunteering opportunities throughout the year, from designer’s warehouse sales to industry black tie events, and on-set collection shoots.Volunteering is a great way for you to build your industry experience and network with like-minded professionals.
Each year TFI students are encouraged to volunteer at Australia's main fashion weeks including Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane!?These experiences provide students the opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience by assisting on the shows of loved & celebrate Australian designers and labels!

Eligibility
The International Workplace Training Program is not included in the total course fee and only open to current students studying on campus.
Students who wish to enrol on the International Workplace Training Program must have demonstrated good attendance, excellent course progression and positive feedback from their lecturers and internship supervisors.
Placement within the International Workplace Training Program is at the discretion of TFI. TFI reserves the right to refuse a student placement on the International Workplace Training Program.
No alterations to flights/accomodation is permitted.

Kathy stitched out this stunning Australian themed Landscape using the in the hoop Sweet Pea Embroidery Design during last year’s lockdown. Extremely happy with the results it is now a 2-day Machine Embroidery Class.
Spotlight are now offering a range of classes to help you develop your craft and sewing skills. Whether you're a beginner or wish to expand on your current knowledge, our expert tutors will guide you from start to finish in the creation of your projects.
We provide informal sewing classes that can be booked for your preferred  time and day of the week. We will be available to guide you with your sewing project. We encourage clients who enjoy either or both hand-sewing and machine sewing.
Come along and learn this quick and easy quilting technique using square blocks and quilt as you go method.
Builds skills to work as an assistant fashion stylist, assistant fashion consultant and junior fashion wardrobe dresser, being able to apply basic fashion styling and design industry knowledge, evaluate the nature of a fashion stylist in the fashion and media industry.
