History
American Safety Services Inc (ASSI) began in the year 2000 with one goal in mind: providing reliable, honest safety services to hard-working men and women in the oilfield.
Since then, ASSI has grown to become one of the most service diversified safety companies in the nation, all while keeping those core objectives. Our passion for excellence has driven us from the beginning and continues to drive us into the future.
Under OSHA's Respiratory standard, employees are required to receive training in how to use, inspect, don, doff, and troubleshoot any respirator that they will be using during work to protect themselves from hazards. Satisfies requirement from OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134
Employees will learn the hazards associated with energy isolation, how to properly perform Lockout Tagout, and how to protect themselves in the work place. This class is required by law for all employees who are involved in Lockout Tagout operations. Satisfies 29 CFR 1910.147.
This class is compliant with 1910.252 and will teach employees how to recognize hazards that could create flammable or combustible environments. Atmospheric monitoring, correct permit writing, and the regulations for working around potentially flammable sources will all be learned.

This 1 hour class is required annually and teaches employees the basic hazards associated with Hydrogen Sulfide. Required by all operators in the Permian basin, this minimum awareness only class satisfies OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200, and Texas Railroad Commission Rule 36.
