Avenue English (AE) is a proudly South African English language school in the world-class African cities of Johannesburg & CapeTown. We opened our doors in July 2011. With over 45 accumulated years of experience, the team at AE has made this school the foremost English Language School South Africa.
Avenue English ensures that the language student enjoys and makes the most of their stay at the school. There is unlimited Internet access, excellent parking space, an outdoor terrace to relax during break times and refreshment facilities.
Social activities are organized on a regular basis for teachers and students to interact in a more relaxed atmosphere. Every students’ language needs and requirements are handled efficiently and with warm hospitality while in Johannesburg and CapeTown.
The focus of this course is placed on understanding the IELTS test format, and on teaching effective exam techniques. Authentic test materials are used to prepare for the test.
The General English course focuses on fluency and highlights the practical understanding of English through the four main skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Our Business English course is for students who are currently at a strong Intermediate level or higher. The focus is on essential vocabulary and useful phrases and expressions for the workplace. Our course includes a grammar component for you to feel confident in all business communications.
This part-time course is held over 8 Saturdays from 9.00 – 12.30 p.m. at a total of 30 hours and we offer all levels from Elementary to Advanced. There are maximum of 10 students per level.
