Berkeley Summer Sessions offers an extensive language program with 14 different languages from which to choose. Use the summer to fulfill a major requirement, brush up on a second language or introduce yourself to a whole new world.
Our language classes range from introductory to advanced and are offered in multiple sessions to best fit your schedule. Learning a new language can open up academic and career opportunities for the rest of your life.
The course concentrates on developing skills in reading, writing, speaking, and aural comprehension.
Scholars and an experienced group of instructors lead the sessions, in which all the different elements of the language are covered: writing, listening, speaking and reading.
The Latin Workshop is a complete, 10-week intensive Latin course for students with no prior Latin experience.
This course is designed for students who have little or no prior knowledge of the Korean language. Students will learn the Korean alphabet and basic grammar.
At the end of the course students should be able to express regret, positive and negative requirements, chronological order of events, conditions, giving and receiving of objects and favors, and to ask and give advice.
