I was introduced to silence and sitting with the breath as a teenager and have been meditating for over 40 years.
My background is in NHS work with parents and infants in the community and I am also trained as a yoga teacher and have an MSc in complementary therapies
My journey has taken me from an emphasis on living/ working/ caring through ‘doing’ and ‘fixing’ to an increased orientation towards being and allowing and the developing of the practice of awareness, presence and compassion.
I have drawn inspiration from all the great Wisdom traditions, but especially Buddhism and the inner esoteric Christian tradition as well as yoga teachings. The real teacher is always present internally and the body an ever present source of wisdom.
Over the years I came to realise that I wanted to share the insights of the mindfulness journey with others and so undertook the Bangor University mindfulness teacher training course and have been teaching mindfulness since 2013.
The mindfulness course can help with stress, anxiety, depression, ruminating, insomnia, restlessness and also anyone who just wants to develop a practice of becoming more aware and more present.
