Chef Kathy founded Cocina De Paz in 2018 out of a pure passion for vegan food, animals & the community. She wanted to offer her community easy access to delicious & nutritious vegan food cooked with love & most importantly in a peaceful environment, delivered right to your door hence the name- Cocina de Paz, translated to English- Peaceful Kitchen.
Chef Kathy believes cooking food should not be rushed. It is an art. It is a dance. It is a story. She believes the food will absorb the energy of the kitchen and the cook. Therefore, after working for years in a multitude of restaurants in Miami and receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts and Food & Beverage Management at Johnson & Wales University in North Miami, Kathy wanted to create her own kitchen that was stress free and full of love!
Chef Kathy also believes her food stands for peace. Peace for the animals. She is very passionate about showing everyone that you can have delicious, hearty and satisfying meals without the need for any meat, poultry, fish, seafood or dairy.
Chef Kathy’s style of cooking is international. She enjoys cooking cuisines from all over the world but with a vegan twist. She loves all types of spices and herbs. Her dishes & recipes are hearty, nutritious & full of flavor.
Vegan Cooking Class is offered by Cocina de Paz for all ages and skill levels. Chef Kathy wanted to offer her Miami community easy access to delicious & fresh vegan food cooked with love & most importantly in a peaceful environment, delivered right to your door.
