During your studies you will learn Principles of Management in Construction such as Principles of Business Management, Principles in Problem Solving and Decision-making, Planning, Leading and Management Control.

During your studies you will learn about the phases of maintaining and installing a drainage system. The topics covered include how to set out trenches to line and level before you start excavations; how to bed, join and lay drainpipes, and backfill and compact the excavations.

During your studies you will gain insight into building construction procedures and methods in the bricklaying and plastering field. You will learn about the composition and use of concrete, and how to mix and lay concrete.

During your studies you will learn the fundamental aspects of carpentry and joinery. You will gain knowledge of fox-wedging, timber connectors, floor trimming and boards, masonry nails and hanging doors, which will improve your understanding of the processes within the construction industry.

In this programme you will gain basic knowledge of supply chain management and elementary supervisory skills.
