Cello is regarded as one of the most beautiful stringed instruments with a warm sound closest to the human voice. It has a lower timbre than most stringed instruments and is played quite differently.

Learning the violin is a lot of fun, especially when one ventures into ensemble repertoire and plays trios and quartets. It is also wonderful to appear on stage as a solo violinist accompanied by the piano.
