Who Do We Serve
Great Lakes Safety Training Center serves businesses and individuals, whether they are Members, Non-Members, Contractors, Industrial or Municipal Entities.
We support private and public groups and companies that wish to improve the safety performance and culture of their workforce. We also serve the public, helping to create a safer community, by contributing to an improved safety culture in the Great Lakes Bay Region and throughout the state.
General site workers, such as equipment operators, general laborers and supervisory personnel, who are engaged in working from or near a scaffold should take this training. This course is designed to give the worker a general scaffold knowledge of all the related components.
This course is designed for individuals interested in teaching the 10- and 30-hour construction safety and health Outreach Training Program to their employees and other interested groups.
This workshop will enable employers to recognize silica exposure hazards, understand legal obligations to protect workers from silica exposure, and select and implement appropriate exposure control measures for various construction and manufacturing situations and conditions.
This program will include a description of the hazards in and around an excavation, a discussion on the duties and role of the qualified person, a discussion on soil classification and testing, and an overview of the protective systems used to support and protect employees in an excavation.
This course is for any manager who is responsible for safety and health issues on the job, including the management and oversight of a lockout/tagout program.
