Our Methodology

At LinguaArte we are dedicated to use the Creative Approach to Language Teaching. We strongly believe that creativity is a talent that every person and every language student has. It focuses mainly on the idea that we all have the potential to be creative, and that the teacher’s task is to create certain conditions to stimulate that potential.

By creative situations we mean real-life situations in which students have to produce more than one answers to a series of inter-connected problems. In creative situations students will not be using well-known and practiced steps that can be applied automatically in order to find the right solution to a problem.

The importance of creativity in a language classroom can’t be underestimated. Language is creative in its very nature. We can express our thoughts by transferring them into a language that can be heard or seen. We can produce sentences and even long texts that we have never heard or seen before. In a creative language classroom students are given creative exercises that enable them to practice the creative thinking skill that is so crucial to learning a new language.

Class Size

Students learn in small groups of 5 and 6 so that the teachers can give individual attention to each student. They will have close personal contact with the teachers and employees of the school.

Our Spanish courses are for Spanish learners of all ages, backgrounds and nationalities. However, they are only for adults of 18 and older.

Materials and Textbooks

The materials necessary for the classes are provided by the school and are included in the enrollment fee. Once students have completed a level and move up to the next level, they will need a new course book that can be bought at the school for the price of $40.

LinguaArte uses the Aula Internacional series published by Difusion that follows the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The book uses a communicative approach to language teaching that will help you develop your basic Spanish language skills and build your confidence when communicating in Spanish. In addition to the course book, the teachers will provide the students with the materials pulled from other resources relevant to the topic of the lesson.
