Malaysian Export Academy Sdn Bhd

Malaysian Export Academy was registered in October 2007 as a Company with the Registrar of Companies in Malaysia. Its main activities are training and education. The Academy has been certified ISO 9001:2015.

The Academy is registered as a Training Provider with HRD Corp. Malaysia under the Ministry of Human Resources of Malaysia. The Academy is also registered with the Ministry of Finance Malaysia.

The Academy trains and coaches an average of 3,000 participants per year on various subjects with main focus on Export and International Trade in Malaysia and also in other countries in the ASEAN region.

Besides training and education, the Academy is involved in seminars/conferences and other trade-related activities such as trade missions, business matching, consultancy, research & development and publications.

The Academy is a member of the following Local and International organisations:

• International Association of Trade Training Organisations (IATTO)

• Malaysian Exporters Association

• Malaysian Training Providers Association

• Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation

International Trade and Export has been the academy’s main specialization and has organized many activities to assist business executives and fresh graduates in Malaysia and the other ASEAN countries to develop their export businesses through training, coaching, and other hand-holding initiatives.

The Academy has also collaborated and worked with many agencies and organizations for instilling exporting skills and the promotion of Malaysian exports. Among the agencies are MATRADE, MARA, SMEBANK, RISDA, FAMA, SME CORP, PUNB and several State Governments and also organizations such as the Malaysian Exporters Association, National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry, PERDASAMA and many others.

The Academy runs various certification and professional programmes in collaboration with the following International and Local partners:

The Academy was founded by Prof. Dr. Abdul Kabur Ibrahim, who has vast experience in International trade and has travelled to more than 80 countries for business purposes. He has also served as the Malaysian Trade Commissioner in several countries for 15 years.
