Dedicated to student learning and achievement, we offer associate degrees and certificate programs that provide students with top-notch education to prepare them for transfer to accredited bachelor's degree programs or direct entry into high-demand career fields.

At MassBay, our students have opportunities to enrich their college experience through leadership and participation in activities, student services, field work with local businesses, civic organizations, and schools.

Founded in 1961, MassBay is one of 15 publicly funded community colleges in Massachusetts and is fully accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education - NECHE (formerly NEASC) and program-specific national accrediting bodies.

We serve approximately 6,000 full-time and part-time students from the greater Boston and the Metrowest region on our campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland. Our alumni/ae are teachers and college professors, entrepreneurs and business owners, lawyers and elected officials, and everything in between.

MassBay was ranked the No. 1 community college in Massachusetts by the Brookings Institution for value-added salary outcomes of our graduates – in short, our graduates pay less for their college education, but earn more, when compared to peer institutions and four-year institutions nationwide.
