Molloy is a private regional comprehensive university grounded in the Catholic ideals of truth and respect for the dignity and worth of every individual. The founders, the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, believed that conferring professional degrees with a strong liberal arts core would allow students to serve in their chosen fields of work with excellence, compassion and creativity.

Continuing in that tradition today, Molloy’s academic, experiential and service opportunities are responsive to the needs of the region. The University remains dedicated to providing an exceptional student experience, workforce development through community partnerships and innovative approaches to education.

A wide range of academic options include more than 50 undergraduate majors, 23 Master’s and three Doctoral degree programs. The University consists of four schools, The Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences, The School of Business, The School of Arts and Sciences, and The School of Education and Human Services.
