We have an active fleet of lasers, sunbursts, optimists, and p class dinghies. Club racing takes places most weekends between September and April. We also have an active Learn to Sail programme for both Juniors and Adults, and a Coaching programme for advanced learners. Estuary Club series are held in conjunction with Christchurch and Pleasant Point clubs.
The Clubhouse is located just over the Ferrymead Bridge heading towards Sumner. Recently we have completed construction of our brand new boat shed which gives us a fantastic, modern facility that will stand the club in good stead over the coming decades. This is the easiest club in Canterbury for launching and retrieving boats with plenty of ramps and wide shallows.
Our course consists of an introductory day on a trailer yacht followed by a day onshore doing theory then seven days on the water tuition on a Laser dinghy, nine days in total.
