NYBG is a museum of plants, an educational institution, and a scientific research organization.
NYBG offers a wealth of courses in topics to help you better understand plants and the natural world around you. Choose from one-day workshops and lectures or our multi-week courses offering more in-depth training.
The New York Botanical Garden is committed to preserving and protecting the planet’s biodiversity and natural resources and enhancing human well-being by educating, training, and empowering the next generation of Earth’s caregivers—in partnership with both local and global communities.
The NYBG Horticulture Program blends classroom theory with field studies in the Garden’s historic landscape, teaching students how to form and care for healthy, sustainable landscapes. Courses are designed and taught by landscape professionals, botanists, and practicing horticulturists.
