Two hours ‘classroom’ instruction + two hours hands-on in the field (4 hours total instruction in one session) – a great way to get started in understanding how your camera works and the fundamentals of great photography. Includes reference materials.
You'll learn the tricks to enhance your sharpness, focus, create motion blur shots, freeze motion, use the on-camera flash, take photos at night, and gain basic control over your exposure, as well as the main camera settings and options.
In Photo II Intermediate Practice students with a foundational understanding of digital photography basics will continue to expand their knowledge through this course.
You will use your photography to capture themes and narratives that you hold to be important, and we will collaborate to share perspectives and feedback. With the Special Focus cohort, you will curate your work to showcase and to build your personal portfolio.
In this intensive one day workshop, we'll cover all the basics of shooting the old school way! Starting with the fundamentals of manual photography, we'll transition to learning all about how to load and shoot 35mm film before transitioning to 4x5 large format photography and much more!
