The founder of New York Safety and Training is a U.S. Navy veteran with a strong affinity for service. As a result, NYST partners with non-profit organizations to serve our communities and provide safety training to under-served populations. Additionally, we offer discount pricing to all military veterans to help returning veterans transition to civilian employment.

NYST instructors are authorized OSHA outreach trainers and/or approved American Red Cross instructors. In addition, NYST also offers exam prep courses for FDNY Certificate of Fitness exams.

We also offer onsite training classes at client locations. NYST drafts and files FDNY building emergency preparedness plans, including Fire Safety and Evacuation Plans and Emergency Action Plans. The course presents the required personal protective equipment to be worn during flagging operations. New York Safety and Training is authorized by the New York City Department of Buildings to offer the 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher Course. Â According to Local Law 41, all workers must attend this 4-Hour safety course before setting foot on any supported scaffold.
New York Safety and Training’s 4-hour Confined Space Awareness course teaches students to identify the most common confined space hazards and take the necessary steps to avoid those hazards. Â
NYST’s First aid, CPR, and AED course teaches students to respond to a number of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, falls, sudden illnesses, head and back injuries, asphyxiation and heat and cold injuries. Â
New York Safety and Training is an approved provider of NYC DOB 8-hour Fall Prevention course. This course meets the Local Law 196 training requirements as part of a Site Safety Training (SST) or Supervisor Site Safety Training (SST) card.
