The Red Cow Academy is a comprehensive training academy specific to digital marketing and it’s various specialisms, from higher level introductory courses, such as our SEO For Beginners course, through to more advanced and specialist skills requiring existing working knowledge, like our course on SEO Internationalisation.

Whatever your level of digital marketing knowledge, we have a course that has been specifically developed to suit you. Our digital marketing courses have been developed to eradicate two problems that have been plaguing the industry for quite some time; a skills shortage, and a ‘smoke and mirrors’ approach to client management on the part of many digital marketing agencies.

The academy originally started as an in-house training program that was developed by two directors of multi-award winning Manchester based agency, Red Cow Media, and was delivered to new starters when joining their agency team. Frustrated with the shortage of digital skills coming through universities and other educational routes, as well as applicants with existing experience in the sector that fell short of desired skill levels, Red Cow directors Stephen McCance and Kelly White set out to create their own solution to this ever-present issue within the digital marketing industry. And so the original academy was born.

Our Courses Breakdown

• Whilst originally intended to remain internal, the level of training being delivered within the Red Cow Media team soon resulted in the agency becoming recognised for superior results for clients, and a dedicated training room space was incorporated into the new office layout when the agency moved to larger premises, giving rise to intrigued questions from both clients and visitors alike. Before long, enquiries began to come in from external companies and individuals around the availability of training courses either in addition to, or instead of the agency services being offered. The courses now available through the Red Cow Academy have been specifically adapted to suit external businesses and individuals outside of the Red Cow Media team, making them accessible and applicable across the board.
• The addition of entry level training in the form of various introductory classes are intended to suit the needs of those looking to gain a better understanding of what’s involved in certain digital disciplines, and addressing the second fundamental issue of unscrupulous agencies who have been known to take advantage of their clients’ lack of understanding of digital marketing basics. These courses have been specifically added to the training academy repertoire as a result of the lack of understanding on behalf of businesses when investing in digital marketing to grow their online presence. We feel that the best way to get the most out of digital marketing and to ensure that you’re getting the most from any agency relationship is to understand the practices involved, equipping you with the right questions to ask and where to set realistic expectations.
