School Of Ballet And Modern Dance

The Dance Institute offers all RAD Ballet grades from Pre-Primary to Advanced, all NZAMD Jazz and Contemporary Levels and all SADTA Modern dance Levels as well as specialised Stretch and Strengthen classes.

Our main focus is to provide a strong foundation of dance technique to our students in all of their chosen genres. We pride ourselves on creating an encouraging and supportive environment to nurture personal and technical growth.

We believe dance not only improves physical health, but mental well-being too. It is so rewarding seeing students grow in confidence while developing good posture, co-ordination, musicality and discipline.

Exams are offered in all disciplines and although they are not compulsory, they encourage students to work towards goals and persevere through challenges.

The highlight of ever year is our annual production which provides all students the opportunity to showcase their talents and achievements.

The Dance Institute is located at 14 Roxanne Place, Poike in a purpose built dance studio with modern facilities.
