Shipley College

Since the doors opened to the purpose-built Victoria Road School in 1868, we’ve followed a legacy of education that has paved the way for incredible stories and successes.

We became Shipley College in 1969 and have continued since then to expand our offer, catering to the needs of the people of Bradford.

Over the years, we have provided a huge range of courses for people to explore their passions and make strides in their careers. Studying with us means you’re part of our expansive history and we can’t wait to see what you go on to achieve.

Life at Shipley College is more than just your course!

Not only do we have fully-equipped classrooms, course-specific areas such as greenhouses, a Fitness Centre and mock aircraft cabin, but we also have a wide range of clubs, activities and opportunities to give you the full college experience.

We understand college is often the first taste of freedom from a traditional school environment, and we're here to make it as fun and exciting as possible.

We're located in the World Heritage Site of Saltaire, a village built for mill workers by Titus Salt in the late 1800s, and is popular with tourists from around the world. Just a short walk from our campus is Roberts Park, the River Aire and the Leeds to Liverpool Canal - it's a beautiful place to spend your days learning and making friends, if we do say so ourselves!
