Reiki energy is chanelled through the practitioner’s hands into the recipient’s energy centers, the chakras and the aura, to restore balance to the mind, body and spirit. While the patient is seated or lying down and fully clothed.
The practitioner’s hands are very lightly placed on or above the recipient’s body along energy centers and pathways on the head, neck, chest, abdomen, legs, and feet. As the healing energy flows into the body, the recipient may feel warmth or coolness, gentle tingling, or just deep relaxation.
