We have a mixture of day classes and short courses at the Great British Woodshop to help you at home. Our day classes include DIY and Home Maintenance, DIY and Woodwork, Spray painting and power tools.
Our short half day classes include basic tiling, electrical, plumbing, plasterboard and filling and how to lay laminate flooring. In our DIY and Woodwork skills classes, you have learnt how and what to use.
If you feel the need to get more hands on practice with the master, now is the time to get stuck in with our practical on-site classes. Classes range from using our Aladdin's cave of power tools.
To installing hardware, hanging doors and putting up shelves all under supervision and instruction. A master craftsman at your beck and call, not a bad way to spend the day.
If you've ever said "I want to be able to use power tools properly" then this is the course for you. If you're already comfortable with hand tools and want those jobs to go faster with less effort; a power tool is the answer.
This course is not designed to get you ready for a career as a professional plumber. This is for homeowners who want to learn the basics so they can repair or fix simple common plumbing problems around the house.
These are simple jobs that with a little skill and confidence you can do yourself. You only need to know some basic rules and know how to check your work so you can safely complete the task.
You can learn a variety of different skills with us, depending on your interests. Courses include Woodwork, DIY, Special Project Courses, Spray Painting, Upcycling and Upholstery and holiday and home education classes for 7-16 year olds.
