Both venues introduced students to fundamental programming concepts and techniques using applications such as Scratch and App Inventor. While these proved very popular with learners, there was a clear demand for workshops which challenged learners.
Introducing them to more syntax-driven coding found in programming languages such as Python, C# and Java. There was a clear direction of travel towards this area of computing coming from CCEA and the Department of Education (NI) at both GCSE and A Level.
Using the powerful Unity, students on this workshop will learn how to develop a basic game using assets provided within the software.
This workshop will introduce students to the C# programming language using Visual Studio 2022. This workshop assumes no prior knowledge of C#.
The latest addition to our Code Clock workshop roster, Code Clock 'Minors' provides an opportunity for young people who currently attend or about to leave primary school i.e. in P5-P7. Over the course of the week, young people will learn coding fundamentals through experiential learning
This workshop will intoduce students to the Python programming language using IDLE, Python's development IDE. Using IDLE, students will learn key skills and concepts including data types, functions, string manipulation, condition and flow control statements, lists and classes.
