Traffic Barricade (Pty) Ltd was officially launched in 2013 after being formulated ahead of the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
Traffic Barricade is currently 100% black-owned by its founders, who are also its directors. The company structure incorporates a 30% shareholding by black women, is BEE compliant and is a contributor in accordance with economic empowerment requirements in the country.
Traffic Barricade is committed to the spirit of empowerment, and will continue to focus on improving every element of its B-BBEE scorecard and contributing to socio-economic development, playing a major role in the creation of job opportunities within the country.
Traffic Safety Officer training is offered by Traffic Barricade (Pty) Ltd. Some members of the Traffic Barricade team are registered with the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) and have also completed various health and safety courses.
Road and traffic safety awareness educational programmes, and road safety education talks and workshops are offered to various schools and communities within South Africa. Traffic Barricade also disseminates road safety information to the general public and road users.
