Why Train with Verner Wheelock?
30+ years of food industry training excellence
- Verner Wheelock has been at the forefront of food industry training since 1990, when the Food Safety Act was first introduced. We pride ourselves in delivering top quality training at all levels in Food Safety, HACCP, Auditing and other specialist aspects of the food industry. Our courses are ideal for manufacturers, caterers and food packaging companies alike.
Excellent examination pass rates
- Our excellent examination pass rates are just one of the reasons why companies return to us for training year after year. Several delegates per year achieve examination passes with Distinction and we have an overall examination pass rate of 85%. Our qualifications are recognised industry-wide. Food Safety and HACCP courses are certificated by RSPH, whilst our Auditing and several specialist courses are certificated by FDQ.
Choice of classroom or remote training
- Delegates on Verner Wheelock courses can choose to attend in person at our modern training facility in Skipton, North Yorkshire, close to the town centre and railway station. Alternatively they can attend training remotely via Zoom. The remote option means that distance is no obstacle – especially for one-day courses.
Many RSPH annual awards in Food Safety and HACCP
- Our training excellence has been recognised through the number of RSPH Annual Awards our delegates have won over the years. To achieve this they have attained the highest examination results for that year in either Level 4 Food Safety & Hygiene or Level 4 HACCP.
Learning and Performance Institute Accredited Learning Provider
- As an LPI Accredited Learning Provider we have demonstrated that we are committed to continuous improvement in delivery of our training courses and information provided about them. We listen to our customers and provide training that is relevant and relatable to their companies.
The Training Company of Choice for Major UK Food Manufacturers
- We are the training company of choice for several well-known food manufacturers and have established longstanding relationships with them. We provide courses that are relevant, current and give them the knowledge to ensure they remain compliant with industry standards, such as the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety. The fact that so many household names keep returning to us for training is testament not only to our trainers, but also to the great customer service provided by the Verner Wheelock team.
Expert Trainers with Practical Food Industry Experience
- We believe that in order to be exceptional food industry trainers, you not only need to know your subject matter inside-out, but you also need to have had several years’ experience within the food industry. That’s why all our trainers have both in spades and why we receive such great course feedback.
Interactive Courses with Relevant Examples
- Since all our trainers have several years’ food industry experience, they understand our delegates’ companies’ processes and the issues they face. This means they can give practical, relatable examples to illustrate key points. The training is also interspersed with group exercises to consolidate learning and discussion is encouraged throughout.
